The Artist's Magazine published an article on LaPalombara's work, "Everytown - USA," in the September 2009 issue.

Her painting "Downtown Late Afternoon" was on view in the George Billis Gallery's "Summer in the City," 2009, and "River's Edge," appeared in the 40th anniversary show of the First Street Gallery, 2010, both in New York City.

The Wingspread Gallery in Northeast Harbor, Maine, which has represented LaPalombara for several years, burned to the ground in July 2009. Many paintings were lost including 18 of her Maine landscapes.

Natural Order, which was on view at The Painting Center, New York City, February 2009, presented work by four landscape painters, each of whom approached the landscape from a different point of view. LaPalombara's works concentrated on the urban landscape. An expanded version of this show, Landscape Today: 5 Perspectives, was at the College Museum, University Galleries, University of Delaware from March 18 to April 26, 2009

Several of her drawings were reproduced in Drawing: Teach Yourself Visually by D. Fisher and J. Robinson (NJ. Wiley Publishing Co, 2008).

A catalog of her 2008 show The City, Whitney Humanities Center, Yale University, New Haven, CT is available on request.
